This publication represents the First Intellectual Output of a transnational project named Teaching Partnership Addressed to Refugee’s Instances Strengthening (PARIS).
PARIS is a three years project financed with the support of the ERASMUS + Programme of the European Union - Strategic Partnership in the field of Higher Education.
The project, started in 2016, aims to strengthen University’s curriculum in the field of refugee management, through the creation of a closer linkage between not for profit organizations active in the field and the academic sector.
Thanks to the realization of 4 Intellectual Outputs and based on investigative activities targeted to the identification of learning needs and the production of innovative teaching tools, the partnership will achieve the recognition of a Joint Curriculum to be piloted during a Summer School, in 2019.

The publication “Current models for the management of refugees and asylum seekers in Italy, Spain and Romania: training needs for working with this group” collects relevant and updated information about the current national systems working to provide assistance to refugees and asylum seekers in Italy, Spain and Romania. The innovative aspect of the present work is the focus on training needs of social workers working with this target group. Research findings outline relevant features belonging to such professional sector that will be taken into account for a proper prosecution of the PARIS project. In addition, practitioners (both academic professors and social workers) working in this field could found interesting the conclusions here presented in order to gather new knowledge on this topic as well as to exchange good practices.
